I like to see any fashion show.

When I was living in Kobe, Japan, I used to work as
pattern-er and saw-er under a quite famous designer in Japan.

Some times I had worked with the designer at the big
fashion show of him.
This is my history. (Smile)

Her wedding ceremony was at the Rose Historic Chapel in CHCH.

I was invited there.

I engaged her wedding dress, and she was satisfied so much about my work.

I was moved her nice wedding dress and the ceremony.

Pamela Anderson’s range at New Zealand Fashion Week
New Zealand Fashion Week is reaching out to the US, inviting
Pamela Anderson and Richie Rich’s eco-friendly swimwear line
Muse to take part.
It’s an interesting move by the festival which last year had more of
an urban street flavour than a bouncing Baywatch-vibe.

“If there is one thing we’ve learnt at Air New Zealand Fashion Week it’s
to adapt and change in difficult times,” says ANZFW managing director
Pieter Stewart.
Muse is set to debut at New York fashion week in September before
being shown in Auckland at the festival alongside low-profile Australian
labels House of EZIS and United Constructions.

Fortunately heavy-hitters such as Kate Sylvester, Karen Walker and Nom*D are also on board.

New Zealand Fashion Week runs from September 21-25.

I would like to show my student's original design
which is from her pattern to finishing.
She is still high school student.
I am proud of her effort.
Unfortunately, the photo's is over 500MB.
It is not correspondence to this blog.

The jacket is for three seasons, using denim material.
The body shape is kept by six darts.
The collar is long stand style.
The design is good balance.
Congratulations!!!

    Kate choose the commercial patterns very well. 
She is beginner for dressmaking, but like this, a top was made by her commercial patterns. 
I would like to show other Red nice garment, but I could not put on this Web-Log.

This is the rough foundation pattern of dress.

My drawing is not good on the screen.

You can make any T-shorts or blouses using own foundation pattern.

You can make own original one.

This French Fashions illustratration is 1918s. 

 

1914-1918 was the First War.

Women had begun to attain freedom.

The fashions were reflected in dress.

The figure was no longer restricted by a corset; tube-like dresses allowed

a freedom of movement that was suited to the new dance crazes.

Our fashion is always related to our world situation.

It is interested in Fashions after the First War , is not it?

  

I made up for my hat.

It is so simple design and easy sewing for short time, within 3 hours.

 

French Fashion in the1918s.

 

This time is so elegant fashions.

Each material is used plenty to make dresses.

This design is used a long belt like the belt of Japanese. 
It is tied at backside, and decorated along the body to front and back.
Taffeta is a fit material for like design.
The belt is kinds of soft lace a good for fitting this design.

I drew an illustration with practicing of the ArtRage drawing tool.
I need practice more to draw thin lines.

Why do I use it?

Because, I have quite enough, now.

I made up my vest for winter season. 
This is my vest of a reversible with a quilting.

The almost material is recycling from old my cloths.
One side did two patch-works of my pets, two birds.
Both sides are pockets of welt pockets.

How to make:
1- Making the plan of making with image of design.
2- Cutting every pieces.

3- Making the quilting, patch-works, putting interfacings, four pockets.
4- Sewing the zip.
5- Sewing shoulders
6- Sewing both collars to each body.
7- Sewing the body together without side seam lines.
8- Sewing side seam lines.
9- Making up hemline.
10- Sewing decoration stitches.
11- Ironing lightly for finishing and done!

From our idea to make up, this is “creative” work as same as our life.
It is great fun!!
I had a very good time to make my vest in a long holyday.

I drew a  French Fashion  Illustration of 1918s

I like old fashion.

One day, I am going to make the dress of French Fashion of the twenties.

Even dressmaking is kind of meditation, self healing and it makes
to develop the mind.

Your new design comes from infinity. 
Its infinity makes finite.
The Dressmaking is same our life. 
It is only deferent representation way of our life.
I say:
Find out lots of quality dress from window-shopping.
Draw lots of design by own idea or from quality books. 
Its pictures are no need to refine.

Explain your pure mind through the dressmaking.
If you continue this ways, you will be quality dressmaker, as designer
and a quality human being.

“We think and We do, and We could do”

Look this photo of dress.  One of my students made up this old century style dress from idea of design, to select materials, to draw and patterns to sewing.  She keeps going more toward her dream after she got a certificate from me.

If you have certain dream, keep going on your load with your conscious.

The most important is not to forget your dream.
“We think and we do, and we could do.”  Kundalini Yoga Mantra call Sat Nam.  I always explain the Mantra of Sat Nam to Kundalini Yoga students, don’t I? 
To make up begin from infinity. Our dream is infinity. Also, my teaching start from infinity to students. 
“I think and I do, and I could do”.  Sat Nam is important word for me.
